Coaching is a growing tool for leaders and staff in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, but it can be misunderstood or underutilized. In this workshop, leaders will learn how to most effectively use coaches for themselves and/or their organizations. 

This session will explore:

• when to consider using a coach
• how to select the right coach
• what to expect
• how to get the most out of the coaching experience

Attendees will participate in a practice coaching session and interactive dialogue and will come away with a better understanding of coaching and practical tips for their organization.

As a people development specialist of over 20 years, Dr Melanie Rodriguez is CEO of Elevate Latinas, a leadership development and coaching firm focused on diversifying the corporate leadership pipeline. Melanie serves as an executive coach and consultant in the areas of inclusion, leadership development, human systems change, and organizational capability. Melanie brings a wealth of knowledge about multicultural and multi-generational differences and how to leverage and integrate them to create organizational cultures that value the individual while building a sense of belonging for all.

Susan Hodge is a credentialled executive, leadership and career coach and a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience leading global organizations in both multicultural and virtual settings. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about mentoring, developing people, and diversity. Susan partners with her clients to help them break through professional barriers, discover their value in the workplace, revive their confidence and find their own authentic power to lead themselves and their teams.
